Field Service Technician
Job description
The Service Technician will deliver exceptional service and support to customers through troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of equipment both remotely and on-site. This role involves resolving customer issues efficiently while maintaining professionalism and ensuring customer satisfaction. When not assisting customers, the technician will focus on in-house tasks, including equipment assembly, electrical work, and repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for service-related inquiries, providing courteous and effective solutions.
- Perform on-site equipment troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance, ensuring all issues are resolved to customer satisfaction.
- Recommend additional parts or services to meet customer needs and enhance their experience.
- Complete all assigned jobs, both in-house and on-site, in a timely and professional manner.
- Accurately document service details, including trip reports, customer information, and follow-up requirements.
- Coordinate with inventory teams to address assembly or repair needs during idle time.
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure issues are fully resolved and satisfaction is achieved.
- Assist with documentation and ensure all service-related jobs are ready for invoicing.
- Forward potential sales leads to the Sales team with relevant details.
- Perform other service-related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
- Commitment to customer satisfaction and attention to detail.
- Mechanical knowledge: 2 years (Required)
- Up to 25% travel
