About the Role

New Phoenix, LLC is seeking dedicated and compassionate Peer Support Specialists (PSS) to provide recovery‑focused support to individuals living with mental health and/or substance use challenges. This part‑time role is ideal for someone who values lived experience, empowerment, and person‑centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide peer‑based support using recovery principles and lived experience

• Assist individuals in developing coping skills, wellness strategies, and recovery goals

• Support clients in navigating community resources and services

• Document services accurately and in compliance with state standards

• Maintain professional boundaries and promote a safe, supportive environment

• Collaborate with clinical and program staff as needed

Qualifications

• NC Certified Peer Support Specialist (CPSS) required

• Lived experience in recovery (mental health and/or substance use)

• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills

• Ability to work independently and maintain documentation

• Reliable transportation for community‑based work
