Catering Captain/Lead
Endeavor Hospitality in Bloomington, IN is looking for an off premise catering team captain/lead to join our team. We are looking for a dedicated, hardworking, friendly & energetic induvial who can lead a small team of servers and work independently at off-premise events. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Key Responsibilities
- Manage a small team and lead the way in ensuring all aspects of events are completed as required
- Set-up and tear-down of events per instruction on the BEO (Banquet Event Order) including, but not limited to the following:
- Load and pack van with items for event
- Setting up buffet
- Moving tables and chairs
- Putting out glassware, dinnerware, silverware, and linens
- Perform cleaning tasks (vacuum, mop, sweep) during and after event
- Replenishing items as needed throughout event
- Serve guests (plated or buffet style)
Qualifications and Skills
· Physical expectations include working in a standing position for long periods of time, as well as can reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift/move 50 pounds
· Ability to work at times with minimal supervision, and accomplish tasks without direct instruction, and problem solve for the best solutions
· Ability to handle guest requests in a timely manner
· Varying schedule to include mornings, days, evenings, holidays, and weekends as business dictates
