Medication Aide with HCA and Nurse Delegation
Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate, self-motivated Med Aide to join our team. In this role, you will administer medications, provide personal care, and carry out Activities of Daily Living (ADL) services according to individualized resident service plans. You will also communicate with families and medical professionals while supervising caregivers on shift to ensure the highest quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Resident Care: Administer medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and Medication Administration Records (MAR).
- Documentation: Record completed daily tasks and promptly report any observed changes in resident conditions.
- Shift Supervision: Lead and manage caregivers on duty to ensure all service plan tasks are fully met.
- Compliance & Quality: Maintain local, state, and federal compliance, including HIPAA and OSHA guidelines.
Qualifications
- Communication: Must be fluent in English to effectively communicate with residents, families, and visitors.
- Skills: Excellent organization, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and make safe decisions.
- Professionalism: A pleasant, professional, and personal demeanor.
- Certifications: Must possess and maintain proper local and state licensing credentials and required certifications.
