We are actively seeking a Merchant Services Specialist to ensure our customers continue to receive great service as we expand and grow.
The Merchant Services Specialist works in our Operations Department to provide detailed support to our merchants. This role performs a wide variety of merchant support functions including resolving product and service-related issues, assisting in account reconciliation, and facilitating the merchant dispute, cancellation, and account changes process. The Merchant Services Specialist also ensures that our merchant conversations and resolutions are properly documented in our database.
Responsibilities:
· Respond to inbound inquiries via phone and email from associates, clients, and merchants
· Provide research, reporting, and accounting related support to our merchants
· Write and distribute emails, letters, and forms
· Promote a positive relationship and demonstrate exemplary customer service
· Provide options to meet the objectives of our customers
· Identify ways to improve service levels and productivity within the department
· Evaluate and prepare account changes and closures
· Maintain internal CRM system
· Review and process transaction disputes
· Communicate effectively, a resolution to any and all monetary related questions as they relate to merchants and their accounts
Qualifications:
· Past experience in payment and/or banking industry is a plus
· Simultaneously use the telephone while navigating multiple computer systems and resources
· Ability to work well under pressure and demonstrate exceptional critical thinking skills
· Ability to meet job standards for quality, attendance, and scheduled adherence
· Strong customer service experience in fast-paced environment
· Self-motivated, conscientious, and team oriented
· This position requires individuals with strong time management skills and the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and systems
· Typing skills are needed along with familiarity with the basic MAC/PC applications, including Microsoft Excel and Word
· Willingness to learn new product information and seize opportunities to expand your job knowledge throughout your career
· Capability to evolve and excel in a dynamic office atmosphere
