Traveling Sanitary Stainless Steel Pipefitters, Welders & Combo Hands

RTW Industrial Specialties, Inc. is seeking experienced Sanitary Stainless Steel Pipefitters, TIG Welders, and Combo Fitter/Welders for traveling projects throughout the United States.

These positions support food-grade, beverage, dairy, and sanitary process piping systems. Candidates must have previous sanitary stainless experience. This is not an entry-level opportunity.

• Sanitary Pipefitters – Layout, measurement, fabrication, fit-up, alignment, and installation of sanitary stainless process piping.
• Sanitary TIG Welders – GTAW/TIG welding of sanitary stainless process piping and tubing.
• Combo Hands – Experienced craftsmen capable of independently fitting, fabricating, and TIG welding sanitary stainless piping systems.

• Food-grade/sanitary stainless process piping
• 316 stainless steel tubing and piping
• GTAW/TIG welding for Welder and Combo positions
• Precision tube preparation, fit-up, and alignment
• Proper purge practices and contamination prevention
• Sanitary material handling and cleanliness practices
• Reading isometrics, P&IDs, piping drawings, and weld documentation
• Understanding of slope, drainability, and sanitary installation practices
• Ability to follow applicable WPS and project quality requirements
• Ability to pass project-specific weld testing when required

The applicable hygienic piping specification requires strict controls for stainless fabrication, including material segregation, cleanliness, proper preparation, continuous purge, and GTAW welding practices. 

Food & beverage processing, dairy, pharmaceutical, sanitary process systems, CIP/SIP systems, process skids, equipment tie-ins, high-purity water, clean steam, and ASME BPE environments.

This is a traveling field position primarily supporting projects throughout the Southeast. Candidates must be available for extended travel and project schedules that may include overtime, weekends, and shutdown work.

Qualified candidates may be considered for W-2 employment or independent contractor/business-to-business engagements where appropriate.

Compensation, per diem, travel arrangements, schedule, and other terms will be communicated based on the specific project.
