Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
Position Overview
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and professional Personal Care Assistant (PCA) to provide non-medical, in-home support to clients. This role is essential to ensuring our clients remain safe, comfortable, and supported in their own homes.
The ideal PCA understands that client-centered care, reliability, and professionalism are non-negotiable and is committed to following care plans, agency policies, and scheduled shifts.
Primary Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:

Bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting

Hygiene and personal care

Provide companionship and emotional support

Assist with mobility, transfers, and ambulation as needed

Prepare light meals and assist with feeding when required

Perform light housekeeping related to client care (laundry, tidying client areas)

Support clients with daily routines, schedules, and community outings (if applicable)

Observe and report changes in client condition, behavior, or environment to management

Follow individualized care plans and agency protocols

Complete accurate and timely documentation for each shift

Maintain client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times
Required Qualifications

Previous experience in home care, personal care, or caregiving preferred

Ability to provide dependable and consistent care

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to follow instructions, care plans, and supervision

Must pass background check, TB screening, and meet onboarding requirements

Reliable transportation and ability to report to scheduled shifts on time

Willingness to work assigned schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
