Part-Time EF Coach Job Description

We have a small team of coaches who have experience working with neurodivergent, anxious, and overbooked students who benefit from empathetic and strategic guidance for getting things done in the best ways that works for them. We’re looking to add to our team, in particular locations, for part-time roles that will be paid between $50-55/hr to start online and $70-75/hr for in-person.

EF Coaching:

  • Offer sufficient availability to complete the following coaching obligations.  We anticipate some weekend availability plus 2-3 weekdays.

  • Be highly responsive over email and internal systems to be able to communicate with placements team in 12 to 24 hours after request is sent

  • Travel to WESTCHESTER/MD/DC for in-person sessions (at the start of a new project and potentially for ongoing support).

    • Coordinate with Director of EF before meeting with a new family

    • Initial sessions will happen at the start of an EF project and may be over zoom or in person to establish rapport and best fit.

    • Read and incorporate Action Plan details which may include information provided by the family including but not limited to neuropsychology evaluations, teacher notes and report cards, diagnostics, consultation notes, and initial goals.

    • Confirm scheduling and goals as set in the Action Plan

  • On-going Coaching:

    • Ongoing coaching may largely be done remotely, except in cases where the family specifically requests in person support for the initial months of support.

    • Exact scheduling will be at your discretion and designed in the best interest of each individual student, but the expectation is that eventually you will have shorter, more frequent check-ins with students than in person tutoring allows for.

    • Most coaches spend 30 - 60 minutes with each student on a weekly basis in a variety of touchpoints spanning 15, 30, 45, and 60 minutes in length depending on the student's needs.

    • Writing informative, supportive lesson summaries (after each session) and progress reports (every 6 weeks) as a tool for sharing strengths and areas for growth are key for building a trusting relationship with students and their families

  • Provide 360 support for students including coordinating with directors, other coaches, and other members of the student’s support team.

  • Participate in regular EF Team meetings to share best practices and develop the service.

  • Knowledge of and experience with teaching Executive Functioning skills is highly desirable

  • Background or employment in Special Education, Learning Specialist Role, Psychology, or EF Coaching
