HR Coordinator
Position Summary
The HR Coordinator – Benefits, Compliance & HRIS plays a vital role in supporting PreBorn!’s Christ-centered, life-affirming mission by ensuring accurate, compliant, and compassionate human resources operations. This position supports staff who are advancing the Gospel and saving lives by administering benefits, managing leave, maintaining HR systems, and supporting compliance with excellence and integrity.
This role requires a high degree of confidentiality, professionalism, and service-mindedness, as well as a sincere commitment to PreBorn!’s Statement of Faith, pro-life mission, and biblical values. The HR Coordinator serves employees with humility and care while stewarding donor-funded resources responsibly.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs in a manner that reflects PreBorn!’s commitment to staff well-being and stewardship.
- Coordinate benefit enrollments, life events, terminations, and annual open enrollment.
- Serve as a liaison with benefits brokers and vendors, ensuring timely communication and issue resolution.
- Respond to benefit inquiries with compassion, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Maintain compliant and well-organized benefits records.
Recruitment Support
- Maintain ATS including
- Job Postings
- Candidate communication
Leave Management
- Administer Vacation, Sick leave, Personal Days, Garden Days, FMLA, and other approved leaves in accordance with policy and applicable law.
- Ensure leave practices are applied consistently and fairly across the ministry.
- Coordinate closely with payroll to ensure accurate compensation and leave tracking.
- Educate employees and managers on leave policies in a clear and pastoral manner.
HRIS Administration & Data Integrity
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee data in the HRIS, including new hires, job changes, and terminations.
- Conduct routine audits to ensure data accuracy, compliance, and reporting reliability.
- Prepare HR reports related to headcount, benefits, turnover, and leave as requested.
- Support HRIS enhancements, testing, and employee access troubleshooting.
Compliance & HR Administration
- Responsible for annual reports related to Federal and State Compliance (including, but not limited to 5500, 1095 reports, Worker’s Compensation audit, employee census and data reports).
- Maintain personnel files, I-9 documentation, and records retention in compliance with federal and state laws.
- Support compliance initiatives related to ACA, COBRA, FMLA, and other employment regulations.
- Assist with onboarding, background checks, and orientation logistics.
- Support HR communications, training coordination, and ministry-wide HR initiatives.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 2–4 years of experience in HR coordination, benefits administration, or HR operations.
- Experience with HRIS platforms and benefits administration strongly preferred.
