Janitorial Project Manager
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Janitorial Project Manager to join our expanding Special Projects Department at Golden Standard Enterprises. As a member of this department, you will be responsible for overseeing carpet cleaning, hard floor care services, and other cleaning operations at customer locations throughout NE Ohio and the surrounding areas. Our projects primarily involve commercial office buildings, banks, restaurants, apartments, and various other facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise a team engaged in a variety of cleaning tasks, including carpet cleaning, stripping & waxing, buffing floors, grout cleaning, burnishing floors, and more.
- Collaborate with management to ensure the smooth and efficient delivery of contract services, meeting high-quality standards and adhering to specified timelines.
- Conduct orientation and training sessions for new employees, ensuring they are well-versed in the safe operation of equipment and proficient in floor care processes.
- Conduct site visits and gather essential information to produce work bids.
- Perform quality control inspections as directed by Management to uphold service excellence.
- Carry out preventative maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to minimize downtime and maintain optimal performance.
- Foster and maintain positive relationships with customers, addressing any concerns or feedback promptly and professionally.
Qualifications:
- Possess a minimum of five (5) years of experience in floor care services, demonstrating expertise in various cleaning techniques and methodologies.
- Must hold a valid driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and have access to reliable transportation to commute between different locations.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with team members and clients effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently while supporting group objectives and the capacity to lead and train staff in proper cleaning techniques.
Physical Requirements:
- Physically capable of meeting the demands of each assigned job, including the ability to lift and push up to 60 pounds.
- Proficient in reading and writing in English to understand and follow work-related instructions.
Work Environment:
- Regular travel to and from various locations is required for project management.
- Exposure to various cleaning chemicals in the course of duty.
- Operating power equipment, such as floor machines, buffers, and other tools, is part of the regular job responsibilities.
- Flexible working hours, including early mornings, mid-mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed to accommodate project schedules.
