Position: Emergency Medicine Physician
Location: Southwest Georgia
Progressive healthcare system is looking to add a full-time emergency medicine physician to their robust team of physicians, highly skilled advanced practitioners, and support providers. Enjoy a flexible schedule with only twelve 12-hour shifts required per month in a beautiful, newly renovated 24-hour emergency department.
Requirements:
- Completion or upcoming completion of emergency medicine residency only (facility cannot accept family medicine or internal medicine candidates at this time)
- Board-certified physician or board certification eligible (if eligible, must obtain board certification within 4 years)
- Georgia Medical License or participation in Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
Practice Highlights:
- Supportive medical community, with an additional team of RNs, paramedics, EMTs and medical assistants ready to assist physicians and APPs
- ACLS and PALS-certified ED staff, plus trauma nursing certified RNs
- 24-hour emergency services, with 24 private patient treatment rooms equipped with Advanced Cardiac Monitoring Systems and bedside computers for nurse documentation
- Schedule: Twelve shifts/month (12 hours)
- Opportunity to precept medical students and residents from nearby medical education programs
