Greenhouse Associate Position
Responsibilities:

Planting and cultivating of annuals, perennials and finished plants

Care and pruning of plant stock
-
Watering, creating plant arrangements, and merchandising displays
-
Cleaning and maintaining production and greenhouse areas
-
Use and maintain tools and equipment
-
Provide world class customer service
-
Property and grounds maintenance
-
Assist customers with plant care and handling instructions
-
Labeling of plants for inventory purposes
-
Load and unload shipments from delivery vehicles
-
Work with customers to answer questions and find plants
-
Help customers pack items and carry to their vehicle
-
Contribute positively to the work environment
-
Becoming proficient and familiar with our POS (register) system
-
Answering phones and returning messages
-
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
-
Age 16+

Contribute to a positive work environment

Plant/Garden Knowledge – a plus! We are willing to teach and train if you are willing to learn Strong attention to detail and good organization skills
-
Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions
-
Ability to lift 50lbs
-
Ability to remain active for shift
-
Comfort with heights is a plus
We are very flexible with hours and are looking for people who are able to start February 1st. Full time and part-time positions available, from one day a week up to seven! Weekend availability is a priority.
Compensation:
Fitchburg Farms will provide the following compensation:
Pay: Starting at $11 hourly – increase depending on experience, etc.
401K for Full Time Staff, Flexible Schedule, and Employee Discount
