Insulation Lead Installer
United Better Homes is seeking an experienced Mass Save Lead Installer to join our growing weatherization and energy efficiency team. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who understands the Mass Save program requirements and can manage a crew while delivering high-quality installations and excellent customer service.

Job Responsibilities
As a Mass Save Lead Installer, you will be responsible for leading and completing residential energy efficiency projects including:
- Leading a crew on Mass Save weatherization projects
- Installing insulation (blown-in cellulose, fiberglass, spray foam experience a plus)
- Air sealing, draft stopping, and attic/crawlspace work
- Installing ventilation equipment (bath fans, ducting, etc.) when needed
- Ensuring jobs meet Mass Save standards, safety requirements, and quality control
- Communicating with homeowners professionally and respectfully
- Completing daily job documentation and reporting progress to management
- Always maintaining a clean and safe job site
- Training and guiding installers/apprentices on best practices
Requirements
- 3+ years experience in weatherization, insulation, or Mass Save installations
- Strong knowledge of Mass Save program guidelines and installation standards
- Ability to lead a crew and manage job site production
- Ability to work in attics, crawlspaces, basements, and tight spaces
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor daily
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Ability to pass a background check (as required for residential work)
Preferred Qualifications
- OSHA 10 certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Experience with dense-pack cellulose and air sealing techniques
- Experience with diagnostic testing (blower door) is a plus
- EPA Lead-Safe certification is a plus
- Ability to read work orders and manage job materials efficiently
