Qualifications:

 Must have a Bachelor Science B.S. with a focus in environmental science, environmental health, or a physical or biological science. This is a professional environmental specialist position requiring the employee to perform tasks that include: permit application reviews; site evaluations; data entry and analysis and report writing.

Having a CEHP is highly recommended but is not required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with owners and builders regarding the installation of OSTDS.
  • Investigate field conditions of proposed septic system installation locations.
  • Perform soil analysis and site surveys.
  • Conduct required environmental health inspections and evaluations for compliance with applicable Florida Statues, Florida Administration Code, and county ordinances in the OSTDS Program.
  • Review and assist with septic permit applications.
  • Maintain company vehicle.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must possess a Florida drivers license 
  • Ability to life 50+ pounds and work outside all day in all forms of weather.
  • Must be proficient in computers, tablets, Microsoft Office Suite and Smart Phones. 
  • Ability to travel to various locations in Southwest Florida, up too 100+ miles a day in all weather conditions.
