IT Specialist
Position Overview
We are seeking a hands-on IT Specialist to support users across multiple laboratory sites in a regulated healthcare environment.
This role is responsible for maintaining stable day-to-day IT operations, supporting end users, and ensuring reliable network and system performance. The IT Specialist must be comfortable working independently and managing operational priorities across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities
End User & Helpdesk Support
Provide Tier 1–3 technical support across multiple sites
Troubleshoot desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, and lab-connected workstations
Deploy and configure new workstations and hardware
Maintain hardware inventory and lifecycle tracking
Microsoft 365 & Account Administration
Provision and deprovision of user accounts
Manage user permissions, licensing, and MFA
Support password resets and access troubleshooting
Network & Infrastructure Support
Support and troubleshoot Unifi networking equipment
Assist with VPN and remote access support
Coordinate with internet providers and vendors during outages
Systems Support
Support Windows-based workstations and vendor-supported lab servers
Perform routine updates and basic monitoring
Coordinate with instrument vendors when server-level support is required
Security & Operational Maintenance
Ensure systems receive routine updates
Follow company security practices and access control procedures
Maintain basic IT documentation and operational checklists
Qualifications
3–5+ years of IT systems administration or technical support experience
Experience supporting 100+ users preferred
Microsoft 365 administration experience
Experience troubleshooting business networking equipment
Ability to work independently and manage priorities
Healthcare or regulated industry experience preferred
