SHINE Support Services, Corp. is seeking an experienced and dedicated Qualified Professional (QP) to join our team. We provide comprehensive support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), and we are looking for a QP who can seamlessly integrate into our organization bringing knowledge and experience. This individual will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of care plans, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and providing support and guidance to our staff and clients.

**Key Responsibilities**

- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for clients with I/DD, ensuring that they meet state standards and SHINE Support Services' policies.

- Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of client needs and support levels.

- Provide supervision and oversight to Direct Support Professionals (DSPs), ensuring they are following care plans and delivering high-quality services.

- Collaborate with families, caregivers, medical professionals, and other team members to ensure coordinated care.

- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including documentation and reporting requirements.

- Lead and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to review client progress and make necessary adjustments to care plans.

- Provide ongoing staff training, support, and guidance in best practices for client care.

- Assist with crisis management, including de-escalation techniques and emergency planning for clients.

- Maintain up-to-date and accurate client records, including progress notes, service plans, and other required documentation.

- Serve as a liaison with external agencies and stakeholders to ensure clients receive appropriate resources and services.

- Participate in regular audits and quality assurance reviews to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.

- Support group home operations by ensuring proper implementation of daily living skills programs, community integration, and skill development.

**Qualifications**

- **Education:** Bachelor's degree in a human services field (Social Work, Psychology, Special Education, Counseling, or related field). A Master's degree is preferred but not required.

- **Experience:** Minimum of 2-3 years of experience working with individuals with I/DD, including care planning, crisis management, and regulatory compliance.

- **Certifications:** Must meet state requirements for Qualified Professional, which may include specific certifications and/or licensure.

- **Knowledge:** Strong understanding of North Carolina’s regulatory environment for I/DD services, including Medicaid and Innovations Waiver programs.

- **Skills:**

- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to lead and mentor staff with confidence and professionalism.

- Ability to work independently and handle a fast-paced environment.

- Experience with crisis management and de-escalation techniques.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel.

- Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.

**Preferred Attributes**

- Prior experience in group home settings.

- Experience with managing multiple clients and complex cases.

- Demonstrated ability to create and maintain positive working relationships with external agencies, staff, and families.
