We're looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Front of House Sales Associate to join our pack. This role is all about creating positive experiences for both people and their pets. You'll be on the front lines of our customer experience - welcoming guests, offering thoughtful product recommendations, keeping things running smoothly, and helping meet sales goals.

If you love helping people, enjoy learning about pet nutrition and wellness, and take pride in staying productive without being told what to do, we'd love to meet you. Training is provided - we're looking for the right attitude, initiative, and willingness to learn just as much as experience.

Whether it's helping a customer, stocking shelves, cleaning a bath station, answering the phone, or caring for our shop cats, we jump in wherever we're needed to create the best experience possible. We're looking for someone who takes ownership of their work, notices what needs to be done, and jumps in without being asked. We believe in staying engaged, minimizing distractions, and always putting our customers, their pets, and our team first.

🛍️ What You'll Be Doing

Customer Service & Sales

• Greet customers warmly and create a welcoming, helpful shopping experience.
• Actively engage with customers to understand their needs and provide personalized product recommendations.
• Educate customers on pet nutrition, treats, toys, supplements, and wellness products with confidence and enthusiasm.
• Maintain a strong, helpful presence on the sales floor—customers should never feel unattended.
• Introduce new products and support in-store promotions to help meet individual and team sales goals.
• Collect customer information for loyalty programs, newsletters, and special updates.

Point of Sale & Checkout

• Efficiently ring up purchases using our POS system.
• Accurately process payments and apply loyalty rewards.
• Offer to carry purchases to customers' vehicles.

Store Maintenance & Stocking

• Keep shelves stocked, organized, and front-faced throughout the day.
• Maintain the cleanliness and inventory of the treat bar, freezers, and bakery case.
• Monitor freezer temperatures and pre-package bakery items as needed.
• Keep the backstock area clean, organized, and clutter-free.

Self-Serve Dog Wash & Facility Cleanliness

• Guide customers through our self-service dog wash process and provide towels and supplies.
• Refill shampoos, sprays, and other supplies between uses.
• Keep bath stations, hallways, and restrooms clean and free of pet hair.
• Promptly clean pet accidents or spills and post wet floor signage when needed.
• Maintain a clean, fully stocked customer restroom.

Phone & Bath Appointments

• Answer phones promptly and professionally.
• Schedule self-service dog wash appointments.

Closing Duties

• Clean and reset the storefront before closing.
• Wash, dry, and neatly fold all towels and aprons.
• Accurately count the register and follow safe-drop and security procedures.
• Ensure all store doors are locked and the security system is armed.
• Provide daily care and lots of love to our shop cats.

• Customer service experience, especially in retail, is a plus.
• Comfortable working on your feet and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.

• Someone who notices what needs to be done and takes initiative to do it.
• Eager to learn about pet nutrition and confidently recommend products.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Weekend and holiday availability - we're a retail store, and those are our busiest times.
