Illinois Orthopedic Network PLLC, IL is seeking to hire a Full-Time HR Assistant/Payroll Specialist. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting the HR and finance functions of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processes, excellent communication skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. This is an opportunity to contribute to the smooth functioning of our company by ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll and supporting HR activities.


This position comes with a competitive starting wage based on education and years of experience. Responsibilities:

  • Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Review and approve employee timecards.
  • Collaborate with finance to ensure timely disbursement of salaries and benefits.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records related to payroll, taxes, benefits, and personal information changes.
  • Ensure compliance with data protection and confidentiality policies.
  • HR Support: Assist in the recruitment process by coordinating interviews, collecting necessary documents, and assisting with onboarding activities.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and payroll matters.
  • Onboarding new hires
  • Stay informed about changes in labor laws, tax regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Generate regular reports related to payroll and HR metrics.
  • Analyze data to identify trends and propose improvements to streamline processes.
  • Work closely with HR, finance department, and other relevant stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and cooperation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Finance, or related field.
  • (OR) Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar HR support role.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, tax regulations, and labor laws.
  • Proficient in using HRIS (Human Resources Information System) and payroll software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Job requires being pleasant with others on the job and displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude.
  • Being reliable, responsible, and dependable
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
