Job Description:
Perform all aspects of commercial sheet metal and installation including fabrication and assembly of ductwork, installing a variety of equipment including fan coils, exhaust fans, package and split systems, VRF/VRV, CRAC units, piping, re-heat and air registers. Ability to perform installations in a wide variety of settings including commercial offices, hotels, multi-use dwellings, process and medical installations.
Essential Duties:
- Fabricate and install sheet metal ductwork
- Perform detailed layouts and material take-offs
- Complete installation on medium and light-commercial projects
- Setting HVAC equipment, duct work, hangers and sheet metal fabrication
- Equipment changeouts including duct, piping, controls, startup
- Install VRF/VRV systems
- Be thoroughly familiar with plans, specifications and duct installation codes
Experience Required:
- Minimum of five years of demonstrated experience as a sheet metal installer
- Ability to read and understand plans and specifications
- Ability to field measure and assess installation material requirements
- Strong communication skills
Preferred:
- Experience being the lead journeyman in a variety of construction settings
- Current Safety certifications
- Experience training and supervising apprentices
