Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join our ABA therapy practice. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of claims—from initial submission to final payment. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our therapists can focus on clinical care while you handle the complexities of Florida insurance and Medicaid reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities:
- Claims Submission: Accurately submit electronic and paper claims for ABA services (97151, 97153, 97155, etc.).
- Authorization Management: Track and maintain active authorizations to prevent "rendered without auth" denials.
- Denial Management: Research, appeal, and resolve denied or underpaid claims in a timely manner.
- Payment Posting: Accurately post ERAs and patient payments into the practice management system.
- Payer Communication: Maintain professional relationships with major Florida payers (BCBS, Aetna, UnitedHealthcare, and Florida Medicaid).
Required Qualifications:
- ABA Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of experience specifically in ABA Therapy billing (preferred) or general medical billing.
- Software Savvy: Proficiency in ABA platforms like CentralReach, Portia, or Catalyst.
- Local Knowledge: Experience navigating Florida Medicaid portals and Florida-specific insurance nuances.
- Skills: Strong understanding of EOBs, COB (Coordination of Benefits), and the appeals process.
