Eloise Asylum, established in 1839, is a historic site offering Haunted Attractions, Escape Rooms, Paranormal Investigations, Historic Tours, and special events. Our mission is to provide immersive and educational experiences that bring the rich history of Eloise Asylum to life.
Job Responsibilities:
Conduct Guided Tours: Lead historical tours of Eloise Asylum, sharing compelling stories and historical facts about the asylum's past.
Engage Visitors: Interact with visitors, answering questions and providing detailed information about the asylum's history and significance.
Maintain Accuracy: Ensure all historical information presented is accurate and up to date.
Safety and Security: Ensure the safety of visitors during tours, adhering to all safety and security protocols and guidelines.
Collaborate with Team: Work closely with other staff members to coordinate tour schedules and special events.
Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring visitors have a memorable and enjoyable experience.
Requirements:
Legal: Be at least 18 years of age and legally allowed to maintain employment
Education: A High School diploma or equivalency is required. A college degree in History, Education, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Experience: Previous experience in historical tours, museum work, or education is highly desirable.
Knowledge: Strong knowledge of Eloise Asylum's history and the broader historical context of psychiatric care in the United States.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Enthusiasm: Passion for history and storytelling, with the ability to engage and captivate audiences.
Physical Fitness: Ability to walk and stand for extended periods, navigate uneven terrain, and climb stairs.
