Construction Estimator

Responsibilities:

·       Use takeoff software to build models from construction plans and produce accurate quantity takeoffs.

·       Prepare and submit complete bid proposals and ensure all bid forms and supporting documentation are accurate and submitted on time.

·       Review blueprints, specifications, geotechnical reports, job manuals, and other construction documents to fully understand project scope.

·       Build and maintain relationships with general contractors, developers, and vendors to support ongoing project opportunities.

·       Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and internal team members through phone, text, email, and Microsoft Teams.

·       Review contracts and project documentation to ensure accuracy, scope alignment, and risk awareness prior to project start.

·       Work closely with operations and field teams to ensure estimates align with real world execution.

·       Track estimating activity and maintain organized project documentation and daily reporting.

·       Provide excellent customer service by responding quickly and professionally to questions or concerns from clients or general contractors.

Requirements:

·       Minimum 3 years experience in estimating civil construction, sitework, utilities, excavation, or concrete.

·       Experience using takeoff software and estimating tools to perform accurate quantity takeoffs.

·       Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.

·       Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with field personnel, management, clients, and vendors.

·       Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and priorities at the same time.

·       Ability to think critically and make cost effective and time efficient decisions.

·       Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

·       Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and modern estimating technology.

·       Working knowledge of sitework, excavation, utilities, grading, and concrete construction.

·       Associates degree in construction management or related field is a plus but not required.
