JOB SUMMARY: 

Handles day to day accounting activities, prepares accounting and financial reports for management and develops standards and processes for proper financial management


Monitors employee payroll and works with payroll department to ensure accuracy. Evaluates the accounting processes and makes necessary improvements to ensure practices are in alignment with the overall goals of the organization and ensures accounting and payroll processes comply with federal and state, law, rules and regulations. Performs other duties as requested by the manager. 


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Accounting: Perform the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable (checks, wire, etc.), accounts receivable (deposits and invoices, etc.), payroll, (job costing allocation), in the general ledger.

Enter all general ledger transactions, review month end statement, and reconcile to general ledger. Prepare, review and analyze all financial statements (Balance Sheet and Income Statement) for upper management. Assist in preparation of annual budget for upper management review. Make adjustments as directed.

Monitor and makes cash investments as directed by management. Assist in filing and ensuring all required tax, contracts, and grant related financial reports are submitted in a timely manner. Works with auditor for the interim and year end audits and prepare schedules as requested from the auditors.

Maintain financial security by adhering to internal controls and maintain confidentiality at all times. Perform ad hoc analytical (financials, payroll, etc.), create and run reports as needed.

TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES: Present a positive disposition when interacting with clients, build and maintain customer satisfaction, and seek ways to improve service delivery. Follow fiscal guidelines, regulations, principles, and standards; seek ways to reduce cost. Support the company mission in creating a unique guest experience at all Hospitality locations that leaves them saying "Wow, that was great! Diligently attend to details and pursue quality in accomplishing tasks.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Interpret complex, technical, professional, legal information, publications or regulations. Apply logic and complex layers of rules and regulations to analyze and categorize complicated information. Break down complex information into component parts so others understand.


QUALIFICATION: Requires a Bachelor s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or other relevant field of study or four or more years of experience in a managerial accounting role. Experience in performing accounting transactions in Quick Books or other accounting software, can be taught on job.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate technical aspects of organic processes, regulations, and standards. Ability to research information for multiple sources and identify, collect, and organize data for decision making. Adapts to changing business needs, conditions, and work responsibilities; and works with a variety of situations, individuals, groups, and varying customer needs. Prioritizes tasks by importance and deadlines and adjust priorities as situations change.

Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to utilize other software programs as needed. Strong customer service orientation, interpersonal skills and relationship building required. 


WORKING CONDITIONS: Environment: Work is performed in a well-lighted, heated and / or airconditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. There is moderate noise with business computers, printers, phones, etc. Physical Activity and Ability: Work requires Sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature.

Must have the ability to sit for long periods of time and talk and hear/ listen throughout the work period. Must have the manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers. Must be able to see at close distance with clear vision at 20 inches or less. Must be able to walk, stand, and reach with hands and arms to perform work.
