Summary:

Responsible for advancing Messenger International’s vision by leading the strategy, optimization, and growth of Messenger International’s YouTube presence.

Duties and Responsibilities:

·       Develop and implement the overall strategy for Messenger International’s YouTube channels including publishing cadence, programming formats, and viewer engagement initiatives

·       Analyze performance metrics (watch time, CTR, impressions, engagement, retention) to inform publishing and content strategy

·       Lead title, hook, and thumbnail development in collaboration with show producers and editors to increase click-through rates, optimize content flow, and improve viewer retention

·       Monitor YouTube platform changes, algorithm updates, and competitive trends to keep the channel aligned with current best practices

·       Develop and manage the content calendar for all YouTube uploads, aligning with ministry campaigns and content goals

·       Create and manage playlists, channel layout, and featured content areas to improve channel navigation and content discoverability

·       Coordinate and lead A/B testing on titles, thumbnails, hooks, and upload timing

·       Train team members and contractors on YouTube publishing workflows, Creator Studio features, and metadata optimization

·       Provide regular reports and performance updates to internal stakeholders with insights and actionable recommendations

·       Ensure all video content uploaded adheres to brand, tone, and content standards

·       Coordinate implementation of sponsored content within YouTube channels including accurate placement, messaging alignment, and performance reporting

·       Coordinate and manage YouTube Live events including scheduling, replay optimization, stream setup, metadata strategy, community engagement, and post-event performance analysis

·       Other related duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience: 

·       Bachelor’s degree in Digital Media, Marketing, or a related field

·       4+ years managing or optimizing content on YouTube

·       Experience working in digital media, content marketing, and/or podcast production

·       Experience working with editors, designers, and producers in a content development environment

General Qualifications:

·       Deep understanding of the YouTube algorithm, creator studio tools, and platform-specific best practices

·       Strong data literacy and comfort with performance metrics and audience analytics

·       Excellent written and verbal communication skills

·       High attention to detail and ability to manage content operations across multiple channels

·       Strong organizational and project management skills to handle multiple deadlines

Work Location:
Nashville, Tennessee area. Must be able to present evidence of identity and legal right to work in the United States.

Job Type/Schedule:

Full-time, 40-hour work week with the potential for occasional overtime. This is an exempt position and is not subject to overtime pay in accordance to the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Pay:

This has a salary range of $59,000 - $72,500 / year depending on qualifications and experience.
