Automotive Technician / Mechanic * No Weekends*

We are looking for qualified Technicians to maintain, and repair vehicles, for resale purposes for J Nuckolls, Inc. companies. Typical Hours 9 am to 5 pm.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Repairs and maintains retail and wholesale lot automobiles at the home office location.

• Test drive vehicles before diagnosed repair and after Communicates cause and correction for customer concerns

• Inspects and tests equipment at prescribed intervals of time and usage or upon malfunction or breakdown.

• Mount tires, and balance wheels to factory spec. Tunes up engines to maintain combustion control standards. Adjusts equipment to standards set by state DOT for motor vehicle inspections and safety standards.

• Disassembles, inspects, and replaces worn or broken parts. Fits and adjusts new or repaired parts.

• Uses hoist wrenches, gauges, drills or grinders, or other specialized auto mechanic tools and equipment.

• Maintains part-usage records and orders repair parts from designated suppliers.

• Will follow and conform to all company safety, quality, and operational policies & procedures.

• Complies with Federal and State vehicle requirements

• May be required to maintain parts or supplies for the shop.

Job Requirements

• 21 Years of age or older.

• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

• Submit to background, motor vehicle and per-employment drug screens.

• ASE certification preferred.

• Missouri inspectors license, preferred.

• Prior mechanic experience minimum 2 years as an Automotive Technician.

Certificates and Licenses:  ASE Preferred, Valid Driver’s License, MO State Inspector’s license
