BEC Navigator
The Benefits Enrollment Center of The League is seeking a dedicated, hard-working and self-motivated BEC Navigator to join our team. This full-time, non-exempt position is responsible for:
· Answering Benefit Enrollment Center phone calls, receiving referrals, performing enrollments, and documenting communication and interactions in CIL Suite
· Performing as a case manager through the lifecycle of the BEC consumer
· Participating with outreach events/projects
· Assisting in data gathering as needed for reports.
The ideal candidate should have a strong work-ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, and be motivated to serve our consumers.
Essential Duties/Skills/Responsibilities/Qualifications
Service Delivery
· Completes and documents referrals and consumer intakes.
· Screens and identifies consumer goals.
· Provides SHIP counseling.
· Completes applications for low-income benefits.
· Performs as consumer advocate and FSSA authorized representative, as needed.
· Provides and documents consumer follow-up.
· Documents all communication/activities accurately and timely in CIL Suite.
· Partners with League Team to address consumer needs.
· Refers qualifying consumers to League programs or outside resources as needed.
Public Relations/Marketing
· Completes outreach activities; including but not limited to fairs and expos.
· Performs public presentations on an as needed basis.
· Assists in research and education of potential referral sources and partners.
Administrative/Clerical
· Provides clerical, organizational, and project related support services for the League’s BEC program.
· Answers incoming phone calls, identifies and transfers calls to appropriate team member, and completes documentation of said call within 2 business days.
· Copies/scans and uploads documents to electronic record.
· Performs communication to consumers, agencies, referrals, etc. by mail, fax, text, and e-mails.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). One year’s work experience in case coordination, office management or support, or one year of post-secondary training in a social services or business-related curriculum. Prefer a qualified person with a disability. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Occasional travel within Allen County and surrounding areas. Must be available for work during regularly scheduled work hours. Scheduled work hours may vary according to the needs of the Agency, as determined by League’s President/CEO or the BEC Program Manager.
