Medical Scribe/Assistant
Come and work for a busy primary care office in San Pedro, seeing an average of 16-22 patients a day. Full – time job opportunity working Monday – Friday 8-5pm. Benefits including health, vision, dental and life are provided as well as an accrual of PTO after 90 day probation period. Must be able to travel
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing detailed documentation services using EMR system, on a computer and iPad in an accurate and timely manner
- Review previous charts and documents for insurance companies/provider as needed
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to type efficiently and accurately
- Good grammar and spelling is a MUST
- Good attendance is an important element of this job
- Good judgment, organizational ability, initiative, attention to detail, and the ability to be self-motivated are especially important.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a medical scribe required
- Experience with EMR (preferably EClinical Works) is preferred
- Reliable transportation as you will travel between offices as needed
- Good overall disposition and a positive attitude
- Prior anatomy or medical terminology knowledge is a plus, but not required
- Spanish speaking is a plus
- Ability to work overtime if necessary
