Nightclub Barback

Location: Copper Door, Santa Ana, CA
Job Type: Part-time / Full-time
Reports To: Bar Manager / Lead Bartender
Compensation: Hourly rate plus nightly tip-out from the bar team

The Barback supports bartenders by maintaining bar cleanliness, restocking supplies, and ensuring smooth service during peak hours. This role is essential to delivering fast, efficient, and high-quality service in a high-volume nightclub setting.

• Stock & Restock: Refill liquor, beer, wine, mixers, garnishes, ice, glassware, napkins, straws, and bar tools throughout the night.

• Cleanliness: Keep bar area clean and organized—wipe down surfaces, remove trash, and clean glassware and spills immediately.

• Support Bartenders: Assist bartenders by preparing ingredients, running items from the storage room, and resetting stations quickly.

• Ice & Trash Management: Maintain ice bins and dispose of trash regularly to ensure a safe and clean environment.

• Inventory Assistance: Accurately count and record bar inventory to ensure management can place timely and appropriate orders. Notify leads when items run low.

• Prep Work: Batch draft cocktails, prepare house-made syrups, juices, and garnishes before service and during shifts.

• Break Down & Setup: Assist with opening and closing duties, including full bar setup, restocking, and deep cleaning tasks.

• Must be at least 21 years of age

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment (standing, bending, lifting) for long shifts

• Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays

• Fast-paced multitasker with attention to detail

• Team player with strong communication and work ethic

• Previous barback or food service experience preferred but not required

• Familiarity with bar operations and nightclub workflow

• Punctual, reliable, and professional under pressure

• Energetic and ready to hustle behind the scenes to support the nightlife experience
