Van Monitor

Assist the driver to ensure safe and efficient transportation for ambulatory and wheelchair bound clients. Assist the driver with the upkeep and cleanliness of the vehicle.  Monitor is responsible to communicate with dispatch office. Provide secure assistance to students as required, including aiding them in boarding and disembarking the vehicle, utilizing the vehicle's lap and shoulder belts, and ensuring their safe placement in car seats and booster seats. Demonstrate effective and clear communication skills in (English) when interacting with students, parents, teachers, and staff.

A driver’s license is not a requirement for van monitor role. Pre-Employment Drug & Alcohol screening. Ability to pass a CORI check pre-employment post interview. Excellent communication skills. Flexibility within the program.
Minimum Requirements at employment:

• All candidates must undergo a background check where applicable;

prior to beginning employment, including pre-employment drug/alcohol screen, post interview, with CORI, SORI.

• Positions open until suitable candidates are found.
• Valid MA state driver’s license, with clean driving record, is not required for the Van Monitor role.
• Must be able to speak and understand English.
