Concessions Cashier/Runner

Cashiers and Runners are the face of the Mallards food and beverage experience. They are expected to greet and accommodate customers with a positive attitude and a smile. The Cashier/Runner position is interchangeable - candidates hired may be asked to perform either role, based on need.

Cashier Responsibilities Include:

• Manage cash and credit transactions at assigned concessions area.
• Learn and use the Square point-of-sale system to process orders.
• Maintain a positive attitude and exhibit good customer service skills with guests.
• Communicating with full-time staff when a situation needs to be escalated.
• Work in a group setting with other staff.

Runner Responsibilities Include:

• Serve as liaison between griller and cashier to fill customers' orders.
• Receive customers' orders from cashiers and work with griller to fulfill orders in a timely manner.
• Maintain a positive attitude and exhibit good customer service skills with guests.
• Communicating with full-time staff when a situation needs to be escalated.
• Work in a group setting with other staff.

Concessions Cashiers/Runners are hired on a part-time, seasonal basis for the Madison Mallards and Madison Softball seasons. A typical season runs from mid-May to mid-August. Scheduled hours are usually late afternoon/evening, including weekdays and weekends. The minimum age to work as a concessions cashier or runner is 14 years. Candidates will be employed by the Madison Mallards food and beverage company, Mendota Hospitality.

Concessions cashiers and runners are eligible to receive tips from the stadium tip pool.
