Server Role/Responsibilities
-Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order
-Ensure all guests feel welcomed and let them know you are there to take care of them
-Know regular guests by name; know their preferences and needs
-Make recommendations you genuinely feel your guests will enjoy
-Take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system
-Communicate with other servers and kitchen/bar staff
-Check guests' identification and confirm legal drinking age
-Handle and complaints or problems with a positive attitude
-Go above and beyond guests' expectations; respond promptly and courtesy to requests
-Present bill, accept payments, operate POS system, upholding cash handling procedures and accountability for all transactions
-Maintain the cleanliness of the restaurant/section
-Perform running/closing side work assigned
-Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operations of the restaurant
