Host/Hostess
At San Jose’s Original Mexican Restaurant our mission is to provide to our customers extraordinary flavor, impeccable service, and memorable experiences.
As a Host/Hostess at San Jose’s Original Mexican Restaurant, you will:
·        Greet and seat all guests in a hospitable, friendly, and timely manner.
·        Handle all incoming telephone calls, before the third ring, using professional verbiage and with a positive and uplifting tone.
·        Maintain a clean entrance area, host/hostess stand.
·        Manage reservations system, including seating within reservation times, quoting proper wait names when necessary, and not over or under-booking the restaurant.
·        Escorting guests to the proper assigned table while engaging in light conversation and providing the perfect hospitable start to their dining experience.
·        Assisting in cleaning, clearing, and resetting tables for our next guests, when necessary
Qualifications:
·        No prior restaurant experience is required, just a strong, genuine commitment to hospitality.
·        Must be willing to stand on your feet for long periods of time
·        Varying schedule that includes weekends and most holidays
