Job Summary

We are seeking a responsible and dependable Medical Driver to transport non emergency patients safely and efficiently. This role is critical in ensuring timely and secure transportation, while maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely transport patients as required to proper medical facilities, corporate health events, or wellness appointments
• Assist clients entering and exiting vehicles, especially elderly or disabled individuals
• Track mileage, schedules, and appointment logs
• Ensure accurate and timely pickups and deliveries between hospitals, clinics, laboratories, and patient homes
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, regular maintenance, and report any issues promptly
• Follow all HIPAA, safety, and infection control protocols
• Use navigation tools or apps to plan routes for efficiency and timeliness
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers, healthcare staff, and patients
• Document and maintain accurate transport logs
• Provide assistance to patients with mobility needs
• Ensure compliance with traffic laws and company driving policies

Interpretation Duties

• Provide consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation in medical or wellness settings
• Ensure accurate and confidential communication between patients and providers
• Translate basic intake forms, instructions, or after visit summaries
• Work with diverse populations (LEP, immigrant, elderly, etc.)

Requirements

• Fluent in English and Spanish
• Valid driver license with clean driving record
• Strong interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and professionalism
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Previous experience in healthcare, customer service, or transportation a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPR/First Aid certified
• Experience working with EHR system or mobile dispatch apps
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards
