Position: Senior Interface Engineer
Patagonia Health is looking for a Senior Interface Engineer to join a fast paced R&D team based in Cary, NC. In this position, you will be responsible for design, development and delivery of mission critical scalable interfaces and engineering solutions for Patagonia Health’s SaaS based Electronic Health Record (EHR) offering.

Essential Responsibilities

Development and Integration: Design, develop, and implement standard compliant applications and interfaces to facilitate seamless data exchange between various healthcare systems.

Customization: Customize and extend existing healthcare solutions to meet specific client requirements.

Testing: Conduct thorough testing of interfaces and applications to ensure compliance with standards and the integrity of data exchange.

Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve issues related to interfaces and data exchange processes in a timely manner.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, interface designs, and troubleshooting steps.

Collaboration: Work closely with healthcare providers, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand system requirements and ensure successful implementation.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest healthcare standards and best practices, and implement them to enhance system performance and reliability.

Training and Support: Provide training and support to end-users and team members on interface tools and processes.
Required Skills

Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare Informatics, or a related field.

Experience:
-
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development with a focus on healthcare integration.

Proven experience with HL7, CCDA and FHIR standards.

Experience in developing, deploying, and supporting interfaces.

Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency in programming languages such as .Net (C#, ASP.net) and .Net Core.

Scripting languages such as Java script, XML.

Strong understanding of healthcare data standards, including HL7, CCDA and others.

Experience with integration engines like Mirth, Rhapsody etc.

Knowledge of testing with PostMan, Fiddler, SOAP UI.

Knowledge of database management systems like SQL Server.

Familiarity with RESTful and SOAP web services.

Nice to have Skills

HL7 and or other healthcare certification.

Understanding of healthcare standards like FHIR and DICOM.

Experience working with global teams
