Preschool Teacher

Zadie’s of the Oranges is a well-respected preschool program that collaborates with the East Orange School District Early Childhood Department. We are conveniently located at 280 South Harrison Street, near Central Avenue. Zadie’s is dedicated to providing a high-quality preschool program in a nurturing, inspiring, and academically stimulating environment.
We are looking for a highly motivated preschool teacher who will not only love, respect, and value the learning process for children but will also become deeply engaged in the progress and development of each child.

Responsibilities:

• Implement Tools of the Mind Curriculum
• Maintain a high-quality learning environment
• Develop strategies to guide positive behaviors
• Build good, open communication with children, families and staff
• Observe and record children’s growth, development and behavior using electronic portfolios
• Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe
• Undertake administrative task as required

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree and at a minimum, a certificate of eligibility or certificate of eligibility with advanced standing for preschool through grade three or other equivalent preschool certification as set forth in N.J.A.C. 6A: 9B
