Illinois Orthopedic Network of Chicago, IL is seeking to hire a full-time Radiology Technologist to help ensure that our patients are getting the care and treatments they need to heal and return to normal life. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing radiology examinations as needed and supporting the OR department administrative operations.


This Radiology Technician position comes with a competitive wage based on certification status and years of experience. Radiology Technician Duties:

  • Prepare patients for radiology procedures by explaining the process and positioning them correctly.

  • Operate radiology equipment to capture images of patients’ bones, tissues, and organs as requested by physicians.

  • Ensure the quality and clarity of radiology images for accurate diagnosis.

  • Adhere to safety protocols to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation exposure.

  • Maintain and calibrate radiology equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Administrative Support Duties:

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the clinic's calendar efficiently.

  • Handle patient registration, including the collection and verification of necessary information and documentation.

  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Manage patient records and ensure they are up-to-date and accurately filed.

  • Assist with billing and insurance processing, including coding and claims submissions.

  • Perform general office duties such as data entry

  • Support the OR administrative needs as required, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Certified Radiology Technician with a valid license to practice in Illinois

  • Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.

  • Strong administrative skills with experience in a medical office environment.

  • Proficient in using radiology equipment and familiar with radiographic techniques.

  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality.

  • Proficient in medical office software and Microsoft Office Suite.

As a Radiology Tech, you are directly involved in ensuring that we deliver patient-focused care at all times. You ensure that our patients feel welcomed and attended to and that their visit goes smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, you get to assist with a variety of administrative duties such as confirming patient information, keeping patient files up to date.
