Commercial Lines Marketing Specialist

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Marketing Specialist in our Commercial Lines Department at Tedford Insurance.  

GENERAL SUMMARY:
The Marketing Specialist works closely with carriers and underwriters to ensure accuracy while negotiating on behalf of the agency and clients.  The Marketing Specialist is responsible to attending carrier and underwriter meetings.  A key aspect of this role is maintaining knowledge of insurance markets and their appetites.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Review and finalize narratives

* Conduct loss runs and claim analysis reviews

* Collaborate with Producers to develop carrier strategies

* Send submissions to carriers

* Review quotes and negotiate pricing

* Create comprehensive marketing summaries

* Communicate changes and updates to carriers

* Assist with online rating processes

* Provide support to Marketing as needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, AMS, and/or related software.
* Ability to manage account related projects, duties, and to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
* Ability to accurately maintain customer files in agency management system.
* Ability to complete online quotes with accuracy.
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; Carrier interactions are professional and productive.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision to deliver high-quality results.
* Proficient in typing and data entry.
* Ability to work in a team environment while maintaining a pleasant and effective relationship with team members, carriers, and other business   contacts.

EDUCATION, LICENSES AND EXPERIENCE:

* High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or higher preferred
* Minimum of two years' experience as Marketing Associate, two years' experience as a Commercial Lines Account Manager, or four years as an Assistant Account Manager.
* Must have a valid Oklahoma Property & Casualty Insurance license.
* Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) certification is preferred.

* Experience with AMS360, ImageRight, and Indio preferred.

* Previous experience using insurance company websites to rate policies and process changes are a plus

* Valid Driver's License
