Director of Nursing

Position Overview
Aiding With Care Health Services is seeking an experienced and highly organized Director of Nursing to lead clinical operations within our home care and nurse registry services. The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing all clinical services, completing client assessments, supervising nursing personnel, managing payer and insurance requirements, and ensuring full regulatory compliance with Florida statutes governing home care and nurse registry operations.

This role requires strong leadership, advanced assessment skills, and direct experience managing insurance authorizations, documentation standards, and payer compliance. 

Key Responsibilities 

Clinical Oversight and Compliance

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to all licensed nurses and clinical staff

• Ensure compliance with Florida regulations governing home care and nurse registry services

• Conduct quality assurance reviews and clinical audits

• Oversee incident reporting, corrective action planning, and risk mitigation

Client Assessments and Care Planning

• Conduct comprehensive initial and ongoing client assessments in the home setting

• Develop individualized plans of care based on physician orders and client needs

• Reassess clients as required by regulation, payer guidelines, or a change in condition

• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation

• Collaborate with physicians, discharge planners, case managers, and families  

Insurance and Payer Management

• Review and verify insurance eligibility and benefits

• Oversee prior authorizations and service approvals

• Ensure documentation supports medical necessity requirements

• Manage communication with Medicaid, Medicare, managed care plans, and private insurers

• Monitor utilization to ensure services remain within authorized limits

• Resolve claim denials and documentation deficiencies

Qualifications

Education

• Active Florida Registered Nurse license in good standing

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred 

Experience Required

• Minimum of three to five years of nursing leadership experience

• Direct experience in home care, home health, or nurse registry settings

• Proven experience conducting in home assessments and developing plans of care

• Demonstrated experience managing insurance authorizations and payer documentation requirements

• Strong knowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and managed care processes

• Excellent organizational and time management skills

• Ability to manage multiple cases and insurance workflows simultaneously

• Strong communication and leadership abilities

• Proficiency in electronic medical records systems 

Physical and Travel Requirements

• Ability to travel locally for in home assessments

• Ability to perform physical assessments in client homes

Compensation

$35-$40
