Manufacturing Paid High School Student Internships!

Precision Tool Technologies in cooperation with Brainerd High School Career & Technical Education and the Lakes Area Manufacturers Alliance has available two high school student internship positions.  This is an excellent opportunity for interested high school students to explore exciting careers in advanced precision manufacturing.  Precision Tool Technologies serves the optical lab industry with precision machining and innovation.  Interested students who have met the schools requirements to participate in the internship program are to complete the student employment application form and participate in a job interview and if selected will be required to sign the Student Training Agreement provided by their school administrator.  

Internship Opportunity #1 - Production Internship providing direct hands on experience working with skilled professionals on CNC 5-Axis Mill, CNC Turning, CNC Mill Turn and in the Tool Room.

Internship Opportunity #2 - Engineering/Quality Internship providing direct hands on experience working with skilled professionals in engineering in CAD/CAM, CMM Coordinate Measuring Machine, Quality Vision System and various Quality precision hand measuring tools.

Work days available Monday through Friday.  Work hours are available between 7 am and 3:30 pm.  We will work with the students available days/hours within that time frame.  Students may rotate between the two opportunities during the semester to experience both careers.  Students do not need previous experience to apply for the internship, but they should have an interest to learn and willingness to participate.  Students must wear safety footwear, and are eligible for reimbursement per company safety policy.
