Inside Sales Job description
Midwest Gas Equipment, Inc. has been a distributor for Gas Regulation and Metering products for 57 years. We are growing rapidly and looking for a new Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative.
Key Responsibilities:
· Provide exceptional customer service via phone and email—acting as the trusted advisor for gas regulator applications and sizing questions
· Size and recommend gas regulators and gas meters
· Troubleshoot regulator performance issues by walking customers through setup, installation questions, and field diagnostics
· Accurately enter and track customer quotes in our ERP system (NetSuite)
· Follow up on open quotes, back orders, and delivery timelines to maintain proactive communication with customers
· Collaborate with the warehouse and operations team as needed, including helping pack and lift up to 60 lb. boxes when necessary
Build strong customer relationships by consistently going above and beyond to meet their needs
The ideal employee for MGE is:
· Extremely loyal with a track record of long-term commitment to previous roles
· Prior customer service or sales experience (inside or outside)
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel & Word
· Physically able to lift up to 60 lbs and jump in to support warehouse activities when needed
· Self-starter with strong internal drive and ability to work independently
· Excellent communication skills, especially over the phone
· Relationship builder who thrives on connecting with people
· Energetic, reliable, and honest with a strong work ethic
