Job Responsibilities
As a Human Resources Generalist, you will:
👥
Lead with Purpose – Plan, organize, develop, and coordinate daily HR
operations while supporting a positive and professional work environment.

Ensure Compliance – Maintain up-to-date knowledge and application of
federal and state employment regulations, including wages, overtime, workers’
compensation, and benefits requirements.

Support Strategic HR Initiatives – Assist in developing, auditing, and
updating HR policies and procedures to align with corporate needs and legal
requirements.

Partner with Leaders – Consult with department managers on staffing,
employee relations, and performance improvement initiatives.

Maintain Systems & Records – Manage HRIS and filing systems to
ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with employment laws.

Administer Benefits – Review, recommend, and assist with the negotiation
of employee benefit programs to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

Drive Training & Development – Assess training needs, create
learning programs, and coordinate corporate training and recognition
initiatives.

Foster Engagement – Support employee appreciation events, recognition
programs, and activities that enhance culture and retention.

Manage Key Processes – Process and track workers’ compensation claims,
participate in wage surveys, and provide data-driven HR insights to leadership.

Collaborate & Communicate – Serve on committees, lead initiatives,
and maintain strong relationships across the organization while upholding Cedar
Community’s mission, vision, and values.
Qualifications
✔ Associate's degree in
Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
✔ 2+ years of
experience in a generalist or HR leadership role
✔ Knowledge of
employment laws and HR best practices
✔ Strong
interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
✔ Experience with
HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite
✔ Ability to
maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times
✔ Proven ability
to collaborate effectively and adapt in a fast-paced environment
