About the Job

The Service Coordinator's purpose is to deliver Super Service to clients through effective Dispatch and Coordination of technicians covering the GTA, Southern & Southwestern Ontario. The primary goal is to position our technicians for success - scheduling & assigning daily work by assessing job needs, matching appropriate skillset to the task required & considering geography to ensure timely service request completion with high quality repair.

Partnering with the Service Manager & Field Service Supervisors, our Dispatcher will own the dispatch function. The successful candidate will create, implement, communicate and drive the daily plan. Collaboration with our Technicians & Inventory Manager is key and critical to success. Our client commitment is to deliver proactive, long term solutions to their waste equipment and provide peace of mind. 

Location: This position works out of the office location

 Work Hours: 8am to 4:30pm | Over-time and On-Call required

 What You Bring to the Table

  • 5+ years Service Coordinator/Dispatch experience in a fast-paced, quick changing environment
  • Strong computer skills including experience with ERP systems
  • Superior attention to detail and focus upon accuracy
  • Hydraulic & electrical system knowledge an asset

A Day in the Life

  • Handle all responsibilities tied to the dispatch of technicians from our Brampton location
  • Coordinate & assign service requests with consideration to customer needs, tech skillset & geographic area
  • Ensure technicians are provided with daily schedules & maintain communication as plans or job requirements change
  • Reconcile all Service Orders daily & prepare for AR department billing
  • Support Inventory Manager to provide parts for upcoming jobs through parts requisitions in our ERP system
  • Work with Accounts Receivable partner to research & resolve billing questions or issues. If needed, interact with customer to resolve receivable issues
  • Provide back-up customer call handling as needed. Provides administrative, day to day support in Service Department
  • Maintain database of vehicle asset information including kms travelled, repair history & scheduled maintenance
