Position title: Community Liaison & Health Worker 

Reports to: Health & SOT Program Director and Behavioral Health Director 

Classification: Full-time, Non-exempt 

Supervises others: No  

Salary: $21.21 - $25.93 

Location: 95825 - Sacramento, CA

Opening Doors began in 1993 as a small refugee resettlement agency, and today serves over 3,000 clients per year across our 5 program areas: Refugee Programs, Survivors of Trafficking Programs, Immigration Legal Services, Health Programs and Economic Prosperity Programs. 

Ideal candidate: The ideal candidate is highly organized, excellent attention to detail, proactive and solution-oriented, with strong communication skills. The candidate must possess in-depth and/or lived experience with local newcomer communities. 

They will have the ability to work effectively in multi-cultural work environments, showing respect and sensitivity for cultural differences, and will be passionate about Opening Doors’ mission. 

Responsibilities: The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include the following: 

  • Support program recruitment and community outreach. 

  • Lead cultural support groups with the support of therapy interns and staff. 

  • Collaborate with case management coordinator and delivery of culturally appropriate services. 

  • Assist clients in navigating and accessing health and mental health resources and services.
