The Villa Retirement Lodge is a prestigious and licensed retirement community in Midland, Ontario and offers 154 modern and impeccable suites. Midland is a vibrant town on Georgian Bay and is approximately 50 km north of Barrie and 48 km north-west of Orillia. The community is known as the gateway to the 30,000 islands and draws tourists with its natural beauty, water-based activities, and numerous parks and cottages. Midland hosts various cultural events, such as the annual Butter Tart Festival, and has a lively downtown area with unique shops, restaurants, and a vibrant arts scene.

Under the direction of the Wellness Manager, the Resident Attendant is responsible and accountable for providing optimum recreation and wellness services in order to promote the well-being of each individual resident.
Key Responsibilities include:
Resident Care & Observation: Observe, report, and document any changes in residents' health or status.
Compliance & Safety: Adhere to all facility policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards. This includes complying with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act and participating in mandatory training and safety/orientation programs.
Facility Maintenance: Ensure the cleanliness of the lodge, report maintenance needs or hazards, and maintain resident equipment and records.
Teamwork & Collaboration: Foster effective communication and collaboration with other departments.
Community Engagement: Assist visitors and volunteers, and conduct tours for potential residents.
We are looking for the following qualifications and traits:
Must possess current CPR
Must possess current First Aid
Experience with recreational programs preferred
Must demonstrate good communications skills
Must demonstrate an active interest in ongoing education
Prior experience in Retirement Lodge/Gerontology an asset
Must be computer literate
