          Inuvik Seasonal F/T (40+ hours per week)

The Gwich’in Development Corporation (GDC), situated in Inuvik, NT, is currently looking for a dedicated and hardworking labourer to perform tasks involving physical labour at construction sites that may involve utilizing hand and power tools equipment building materials, safety guards and equipment.

REQUIREMENTS

·        A great work ethic with an ability to learn quickly.

·        Ability to take direction.

·        Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

·        Ability to handle and transport materials by hand.

·        Familiarity with power tools.

·        Valid class 5 driver's license (not mandatory).

·        Pass GDC Driver’s Evaluation and Drug & Alcohol Testing

·        Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical labour.

COMPENSATION, PREFERENCE AND PROCESS

·        Preference will be given to candidates who are Gwich'in Participants and have experience working in the non-profit or public sectors or in an Indigenous Government/Organization, preferably in a northern context.
