Reporting to the Camp Superintendent, the Logistic Advisor will coordinate the arrival and departure of people expected at the site. Will be called upon to work closely with the people housed on the site, but also with external partners and other members of the society depending on the projects and expected results.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Coordinate all ground transportation for employees, contractors, and visitors;
• Work closely with the receptionist;
• Serve as the point of contact for supervisors and managers regarding any questions about the Nomadis reservation software;
• Manage chartered flights and buses, ensure that manifests are accurate, and submit them by the deadlines required by the carrier;
• Provide transportation logistics support for various requests from the Windfall Mining Group;
• Manage the Windfall Mining Group’s vehicle fleet;
• Assign rooms to maximize camp occupancy in conjunction with the Nomadis reservation software;
• Maintain good working relationships with employees and contractors;
• Ensure that access forms are completed in accordance with requirements;
• Promote and uphold the organization’s values;
• Comply at all times with occupational health and safety and environmental policies and rules;
• Perform any other tasks related to the position of logistics advisor that are relevant to the project’s success.
Required qualifications
• College diploma in administration – logistics option or any other in a related field;
• (5) years of relevant experience;
• Valid class 5 driver’s licenses;
• Bilingual (French and English), intermediate level. Will be required to communicate with English-speaking employees, contractors and visitors. French is the first language at work.
Technical skills
• Good knowledge of software used in hosting management;
• Knowledge of Nomadis software (an asset);
• Good knowledge of the Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Basic skills
• Demonstrate diplomacy and absolute discretion;
• Good organizational skills and ability to recognize priorities;
• Very good management stress and unexpected situations;
• Possess initiative and ability to handle multiple files simultaneously;
• Be able to work independently;
• Excellent written and verbal skills;
• Be able to build and maintain good interpersonal relations with all people involved;
• Excellent teamwork, information sharing and efficient communication skills.
