Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Complete an accurate and punctual full-cycle accounting process, including monthly journal entries and reconciliations of cash, bank accounts, credit cards and revenues.
- Review night audit postings and reporting for accuracy.
- Ensure timely invoicing and accounts receivable management.
- Prepare and file GST, PST, MRDT, EHT, WCB and other statutory returns.
- Support with payroll processing, including the issuing of T4 statements.
- Prepare timely financial statements, summaries, and other cost-benefit analysis and financial management reports.
- Coordinates the budgeting process.
- Work with the executive committee to compile cash flow forecast information.
- Support the accounts payable process with accurate posting, reporting and payment of invoices as required.
- Assist in administering the corporate credit card program and merchant accounts.
- Establish and maintain working relationships with both internal and external customers/partners including Resort Management, Rental Pool Owners, Financial Institutions, Accountant, and Auditors.
- Respond to Rental Pool Owners requests for information.
- Assist with the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Bookkeeper or similar role
- Comprehensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Knowledge of QuickBooks would be considered an asset.
- Detail-oriented and works with a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency in keyboard skills and data entry.
- Ability to Multi-task, Organize, and Prioritize Work
- Excellent communication and organization skills.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Pay: $27.00-$30.00 per hour plus summer bonus
Job Type: Permanent
Schedule: Full Time - Monday to Friday working 8.30am-5pm
