POSITION SUMMARY
As a Customer Service / Grounds Terminal Agent, you’ll be the friendly face and steady hand that keeps TNDC Airport Services running smoothly. From greeting passengers and supporting flight crews to ensuring safe and efficient ground operations, you’ll play a key role in delivering an exceptional travel experience.
This dynamic position combines customer service, teamwork, and hands-on operational work—indoors and outdoors, in all weather conditions. You’ll thrive in a fast-paced environment where safety, communication, and adaptability are essential.

Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the CYDL Manager(s) or designate, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Check in and greet passengers for flights and on behalf of air carriers and clients.
- Respond to passenger inquiries.
- Prepare, load, and unload baggage from the aircraft if required.
- Acceptance of freight for expediting; ship and receive cargo.
- Scheduled janitorial duties for TNDC airport premises.
- Handle payments and/or billings for fuel, rentals, and services.
- Communicate load counts to flight crews.
- Assist with general office, administrative and clerical functions to keep the airport running smoothly.
- Ensure proper reporting, documentation, and clear lines of communication with supervisors.
- Attend toolbox, safety and other meetings or discussions as required.
- Adhere to relevant company procedures and policies.
- Participate in any other specified training.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Superior customer service skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail.
- Strong computer skills with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to work flexible hours, including split shifts and weekend coverage.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven commitment to safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Able to take direction, follow instructions, adapt to changing priorities and multi-task.
- Strong work ethic with an ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- A team player who works respectfully and cooperatively with others.
- Combination of indoor terminal and outdoor ramp areas in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and handle luggage, cargo, and equipment up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to noise from aircraft operations and ground equipment.
- Work performed in all weather conditions, including extreme cold, wind, rain, and snow.
- Variable schedule including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Shift work may be required to align with flight schedules.
- Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Strict adherence to airport safety and security protocols.
- Required use of personal protective equipment (PPE) such as hearing protection, high-visibility vests, and safety footwear.
- Work independently and collaboratively with other TNDC Airport Services team members and airline personnel.
Mentorship and Knowledge Sharing
Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members, especially local
Tahltan workers, by sharing technical skills, safety practices, and industry
knowledge in a respectful and culturally aware manner. Uphold Tahltan values
and principles by fostering a work environment built on respect, teamwork, and
mutual learning. Support the growth of the Tahltan workforce by helping build
capacity, promoting safe and effective work practices, and ensuring that
knowledge is passed on to strengthen both the team and the broader Tahltan
community for the benefit of current and future generation.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
- Ability to pass a mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol test.
- Willingness to sign an Oath of Confidentiality
- Full disclosure of criminal record and current criminal record check
- Valid class 5 driver’s license and willing to provide a current driver abstract
- Willingness to work occasional overtime during peak or critical work periods
