Who we are:

At Wolastoqiyik Family Services, we aim to be leaders in providing family services to First

Job Description:

  • Provide leadership in program development and identify and facilitate staff training and development.
  • Supervise the case management process for assigned individuals.
  • Facilitate and empower an individualized approach to all aspects of support planning, delivery, and evaluations, with a focus on quality of life outcome for the client.
  • Facilitate regularly scheduled staff meetings, provide individual supervision to staff on a regularly scheduled basis.
  • Serve as a program liaison to family members/guardians, facilitate development and implementation of individual support plan.
  • Maintain a social and emotional climate within the alternative home that is therapeutically oriented and follows the clients’ treatment goals to include communicating with the client in a respectful and professional manner exhibiting empathy and understanding.

Qualifications:

Degree or Diploma in any of the following:

  • Human Services
  • Child and Youth
  • Early Childhood Education
  • Any Bachelors
  • Valid Driver’s license

OR
Demonstrated experience working with individuals with any of the following: autism, mental illness, learning disabilities, behavioral issues, special needs, etc.

Other requirements:

  • Criminal Record check with vulnerable sector screening, Social Development Check and drivers abstract.
  • Transportation/Travel Information Own transportation; Own vehicle; Valid driver's license
  • Training in First Aid, Suicide intervention, non-violent crisis intervention etc. will be considered an asset.
  • Preference will be given to those with demonstrated skills and experience in working with Aboriginal people and communities, in addition to lived experience as a member of an Aboriginal community.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00-$26.00 per hour
