Youth Development Worker - Part Time
21st CENTURY – YOUTH DEVELOPMENT WORKER – HIGH SCHOOL
16 hours a week, M-Th 1:30pm to 5:30pm, 33 week grant funded school year position and begins September 29th
The 21st CCLC Youth Development Worker will be responsible for leading an academic support group, provide quality enrichment activities, help build a school connection to support the academic component, implement program outcomes, attend professional development to enhance program school year goals and priorities. The position is 16 hours total for 4-afternoons per week.
Tasks
· Leads academic support team for a group of students
· Connect and communication with teachers and program coordinator on individual students’ assignments, progress, and concerns
· Develop engaging quality activities that support program outcomes and grade level math or ELA curriculum
· Implements project-based learning and service-learning enrichment activities
· Completes the SAYO-S (survey on students in the academic support team)
· Attends all 21st CCLC meetings and center meetings
· Establishes and follows-through on annual professional development plan
· With Program Coordinator guidance, communicate with parents regarding youth needs, interests, and concerns
· Maintains a 7D Van License (where applicable) and follow all agency and regulatory van policies
· All other assigned tasks
Qualifications
· BA or enrolled in a BA program in related field
· Experience with youth
· Experience in out-of-school time setting
